Pardon Our Dust
You’ll notice a change later this week if you visit our main website, WBAA.org.
For weeks, we’ve been working quietly, behind the scenes, on our new website design. But it’s going to take us a little while to make sure all the bugs are worked out, all the doodads are functioning properly and all the widgets are…ummm…widgeting.
Most of the functions and features that currently exist on the site will continue to live on the new site — the major change is what NPR calls the “Responsive Theme”.
Basically, the site is being redesigned to scale more effectively to whatever platform you view it on. So we’re not always trying to cram everything you see on your computer monitor onto your phone when you pull the site up there.
WBAA.org will also be more local. Local news will have even greater prominence on the new site, as the news department and the station as a whole continue to work to be as good a source of content for West Central Indiana as we can be. We’ll still provide links to NPR content, but the onus will be on everyone here to keep the site refreshed several times daily with news and events that matter to the audiences closest to us (both literally and figuratively).
Once the site goes live sometime Friday, feel free to provide feedback. Let us know what’s working and what isn’t and we can chat with our friends at NPR Digital Services to work through any issues.
